Carversville, PA (April 29, 2025) – The Historic Carversville Society (HCS) is proud to announce Carversville Day is back and will be held on Saturday, May 31 starting at 10:00 am until 3:00 pm. Rain or shine, this afternoon celebration has something for the entire family and includes free admission and free parking at the Carversville Church on Aquetong Road. There’s so much happening on this one-day celebration in the historic village square of Carversville. Submit four-dozen baked cookies to be entered in the popular Cookie Contest! People’s Choice Best Cookie wins a coveted prize. Bring your pets in costume and win a prize for Best Costume and Trick. HCS members are invited to submit a photo to be judged in the Photo Contest. For the first time, show off your dance moves with Country Line Dancing led by an instructor.

Carversville Day Chairperson, Laura Viehweger commented, “After a one-year absence, everyone is beyond excited for the return of Carversville Day! It’s a wonderful day where our community comes together to celebrate our beautiful village, local residents and fellow Solebury neighbors. As always, we will have great live auction items to support the HCS, yummy cookies to taste and fun throughout the day.” HCS president, Lori White further added, “It truly takes a village to pull off Carversville Day, and I am so thankful for the HCS Board for making it happen this year. We love to connect with our friends, neighbors and extended Solebury community.”

In 1726 the first settlers arrived to the area for the construction of several mills along the Paunacussing Creek. More than 100 years later when the post office was established in 1833, it was named Carversville in honor of the Carver family who were early settlers and mill operators. All proceeds for Carversville Day benefit the Historical Carversville Society. For more info, visit us on Facebook @CarversvilleDay and online at www.carversville.org.
