Fireworks Canceled, Drone Show Still A Go In New Hope
Due to high water and unsafe river conditions, the Chamber won't be able to anchor the barge so the May 16 fireworks are canceled.
NEW HOPE, PA — The Greater New Hope Chamber of Commerce has canceled Friday's fireworks show, but the drone show and the street fair are still on.
Chamber officials made the decision to cancel the pyrotechnic display due to high water and unsafe river conditions on the Delaware River, which would prevent the safe anchoring the fireworks barge.
But chamber officials said the drone light show is still happening and so is the block party on Stockton Avenue. "And we're turning up the energy in New Hope and Lambertville like never before," said the chamber in a Facebook posting.
Here’s how you can help make it an epic night:
- Bring a Bluetooth speaker
- Download the Pyrocast app
- Enter show code: F683
- Blast the soundtrack and help the chamber fill both towns with sound during the show!

The street fair starts at 5 p.m. on Stockton Avenue, which will be closed to traffic at 2 p.m. between Bridge and Ferry. The fair will feature local vendors, food, artists, and lots of small-town fun.
The drone show is scheduled to begin at 9:10 p.m.
"Look up and get ready to be amazed," said the chamber. "Grab dinner, shop your favorite spots, and let’s come together to kick off summer in a whole new way."
