Giving Tuesday is a global initiative that brings people together to harness the potential of collective generosity. Fortunately for folks in the New Hope-Lambertville area, there’s no shortage of organizations nearby that could greatly benefit from your support.

Here are five outstanding organizations in the New Hope-Lambertville area. Please consider volunteering or donating to them for Giving Tuesday and beyond.

  1. Bucks County SPCA — The Bucks County SPCA assists animals in need and prevents suffering through rescues, rehoming, cruelty investigation and community outreach. They work to keep animals in their homes and out of the shelter system by offering temporary boarding for pets referred by a social service agency during emergencies, and by donating pet supplies to food pantries.   2. Avery’s Hope — Avery’s Hope raises money and awareness for rare, ultra-rare and undiagnosed pediatric GI patient families assisting with out-of-pocket and insurance-denied expenses. Avery’s Hope also offers small individual awards to families in need, and partners with National Organization for Rare Disorders (NORD) and offers a Rare Pediatric GI Lodging Assistance Program. FACT Bucks County — FACT Bucks County is a local, grassroots organization dedicated to providing financial assistance as a point of last resort to those individuals living with HIV/AIDS in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.   4. Friends of the Delaware Canal — The Friends of the Delaware Canal works to restore, preserve and improve the Delaware Canal and its surroundings. New Hope Colony Foundation For The Arts — New Hope Colony Foundation for the Arts is dedicated to saving, preserving, restoring and reactivating the artist community of the New Hope Colony through a new global artist colony at Phillips Mill, the birthplace of Pennsylvania Impressionism and the New Hope School.
