Lambertville's Day Of Car Thefts In January: Police Log
The City of Lambertville Police Department reported a number of incidents over the month of January, from DUI arrests to jewel thefts.

2:44 a.m. — A 22-year-old Pennington man was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and careless driving. He was given a court date of Jan. 5 and released. Detective Corporal Matthew Bast is the arresting officer.

8:45 a.m. — A 41-year-old Flemington woman was arrested and charged with theft of the third degree, after Sergeant Anthony Memolo investigated an October theft of cash and several pieces of jewelry from a home on Delevan Street. Bast assisted in the investigation and later arrested the woman.
Wednesday, Jan. 19
8:02 a.m. — Patrolman Kevin Brown investigated a car burglary. Someone unlawfully entered a car parked on Coryell Street near George Street through an unlocked car door. Several things were taken, some of which were later recovered and returned to the victim. An investigation is ongoing.
8:02 a.m. — Brown recovered property in the area of 39 North Main Street that was later found to have been taken from an unlocked car. The property was returned to the owner. An investigation is ongoing.
10:18 a.m. — Brown investigated a car burglary near 31 Church Street, where found property was found on the street and later discovered to be missing from inside an unlocked car. The property was returned to the owner who reported damage to only some of the property. An investigation is ongoing.
10:48 a.m. — Brown investigated a car burglary near 66 Church Street, where property was taken from inside an unlocked car. An investigation is ongoing.
1:08 p.m. — Corporal Allen Wurpel investigated a car burglary near 33 Coryell Street, where an unlocked car was entered and searched. Nothing was reported missing or damaged at the time. An investigation is ongoing.
1:08 p.m. — Brown recovered property near Coryell Street and North Franklin Street that was found to have been removed from inside an unlocked parked car. The property was turned back over to the owner. An investigation is ongoing.
Friday, Jan. 21
5 p.m. — Bast investigated a car burglary in the area of Coryell Street and George Street, where found property from a previously-reported car burglary was recovered inside the vehicle. The owner reported nothing to be missing or damaged. The found property was turned over to the respective owner. An investigation is ongoing.
