Menlha KMC in Lambertville NJ will hold a rare art class with visiting Kadampa teacher and Buddhist nun, Gen Kelsang Lingpur, on Saturday, Sept. 13 at 9:30 am.

This is an art class that can both relax and inspire -- and it is suitable for everyone, regardless of their artistic ability. If you can use a ruler and a pencil then this course is suitable for you!

Drawing images of Buddha is an extremely meaningful activity for the Buddhist community, thought to create many positive potentials for the future. Buddha is a perfect being, so special techniques are needed when we create an image of him to reflect that.

On this course, you can learn to create the image of Buddha's face, with in-depth guidance and demonstrations provided. This meaningful activity has many benefits: it helps us to draw closer to Buddha, develops our concentration, makes our mind more peaceful and is the foundation for learning to paint Buddha images or statues. It also creates the causes to attain the form body of a Buddha.

You must pre-register for this workshop. This ensures you have the materials needed. Space is limited.
