New Hope Helping Presents 8 Scholarships to NHS Seniors
Helping New Hope School seniors take their next step in education and life.
July 5th at New Hope Solebury High School was a great day for graduating senior scholars. The annual awards night was filled with recognition for students who had done great work, and scholarships for students that qualified for funding toward their ongoing education.
In the 75 years that New Hope Helping has been supporting the community, scholarships for graduating NHS students have long been a focus for the group. With the cost of college going up, it’s more important than ever to help students move on to the next step in their education. Scholarships are a key component in the support that students at New Hope Solebury School get from New Hope Helping, in addition to the funding of various projects and programs.
This year, New Hope Helping presented a total of 8 scholarships with 6 funded from the charity’s cultural event fundraising through the New Hope Auto Show, Car and Coffee, New Hope Tennis Tournament, and New Hope Concerts. In addition, 2 scholarships are funded from the Steven Buck/Hardy Bush Memorial Golf Tournament. Altogether a total of $40,000 of scholarships were awarded at the event. The New Hope Helping board of directors offers their sincere congratulations and best wishes for all the scholarship recipients.
