New Hope-Solebury Walking Trail Gets State Money
The funds will help expand an existing trail into the New Hope and Solebury areas.
SOLEBURY, PA — A walking trail in Solebury and New Hope has gotten a boost from a recent round of state funding.
Solebury Township will get $400,000 for the development of the Rt. 202 Parkway Trail, in Solebury and New Hope. The funding was announced Friday by state Sen. Steve Santarsiero.
"The Rt. 202 Parkway Trail development project will expand the already existing 8.5-mile trail along Rt. 202 to include a stretch between New Hope and Solebury," Santarsiero said.

He announced the funding along with news of $225,000 for the Neshaminy Greenway Trail in nearby New Britain Township.
"Both of these projects will provide additional recreational opportunities for our community, further highlighting the beauty of our local natural resources," he said.

The DCNR Recreation and Conservation grant program is funded state and federal money from multiple sources.
