New Hospital Exhibit To Open At Bucks County Children's Museum
Partnership with Penn Medicine Doylestown Health propels museum over $1M capital campaign fundraising goal.

NEW HOPE, PA —An exciting new "Hospital Exhibit" is set to open in December at the Bucks County Children's Museum in New Hope through an exclusive partnership with Penn Medicine Doylestown Health.
The exhibit is designed to educate and engage children about health and wellness in a fun, interactive environment. Its aim will be to demystify the hospital experience and inspire the next generation on the importance of health from an early age.
The Hospital Exhibit will feature hands-on activities, including a mini hospital setup where children can role-play as doctors, nurses, and patients. Through imaginative play, children will gain a better understanding of health-related topics, including anatomy, healthy habits, and the importance of teamwork in the medical field.

“Penn Medicine Doylestown Health is proud to renew our support of this exciting experiential exhibit at the Bucks County Children’s Museum,” announced Penn Medicine Doylestown Health CEO Jim Brexler.
“Partnerships like this one help our Della Penna Pediatric program extend our reach to thousands of children and parents in Bucks County. It’s an incredible opportunity to inspire the next generation of healthcare professionals, and maybe even help make a visit to the hospital a less scary one,” he added.

“We are thrilled to have Penn Medicine Doylestown Health as our partner for this new exhibit,” said Kelly Krumenacker, executive director of the Bucks County Children’s Museum. “Their support enables us to provide an enriching experience that will not only entertain but also educate our young visitors about the vital role of healthcare in our lives.”
The new "Hospital Exhibit" is part of the museum's Unplug and PLAY Capital Campaign, which will support 5,000 square feet of new exhibits, including a wheelchair-accessible Treehouse exhibit, an expanded General Store exhibit, and the addition of a 2-story replica of a 1700 Bucks County Inn.
Support from Penn Medicine Doylestown Health has pushed the museum over its $1,000,000 campaign fundraising goal, and construction of the new exhibits is set to begin later this summer.
"We are incredibly grateful for the community's support of the children's museum and are excited to bring new interactive experiences to the young learners we serve," says Krumenacker.

The museum is temporarily closed for renovations, with a grand reopening expected in December 2025. Museum membership will be extended to offset months lost because of the closure.
