River Road Reopens After Ida Damage
PennDOT crews finished rebuilding the River Road bridge on Friday, after months of closure from damage sustained in the flooding disaster.

SOLEBURY, PA — After being shut down for months due to damage from Hurricane Ida's remnants, River Road north of Route 263 has reopened.
A new bridge was built on River Road, which crosses a tributary of the Delaware River, in the post-Ida reconstruction around Bucks County. Crews built a new bridge and also installed a new guardrail.
State Senator Steve Santarsiero checked out the site on Friday.

Structural damage on Route 263 between Phillips Mill Road and River Road is still undergoing repairs, Santarsiero and PennDOT have said.
On Jan. 20, construction began to replace an 800-foot section of Route 263 between River Road and Centre Bridge Road, according to the Bucks County Herald. The work, slated for completion July 1, will include repairing the damaged embankment, replacing drainage facilities and guide rails, and constructing a new retaining wall.
