Solebury Township Welcomes New Police Officers To The Force

Officer Matthew Gaeta comes to the department from the Pennsylvania State Police, while Justin Broskey comes from the Bridgeport P.D.

SOLEBURY TOWNSHIP, PA — Two new police officers - Justin Broskey and Matthew Gaeta - have joined the Solebury Township Police Department

Broskey, from Warrington, is a Central Bucks South High School graduate and earned a criminology degree from Penn State in 2018. Initially a licensed EMT working at Abington-Lansdale Hospital and Central Bucks EMS, his passion for public service led him to a career in law enforcement.

After graduating from the Montgomery County Police Academy, he joined the Bridgeport Police Department in 2022, serving in patrol and on the department's drug task force. He earned certifications in defensive tactics and impaired driving enforcement.

In 2022, he earned a heroism award from the department after saving a woman and her dog during an apartment fire.

Outside of work, Broskey loves outdoor adventures with his dog, Harper, and is happily engaged to Krystina.

Officer Matthew Gaeta has joined the department from the Pennsylvania State Police.

Originally from Hunterdon County, N.J., Matt graduated from Hunterdon Central Regional High School and earned a criminal justice degree from Stockton College in 2014.

Starting as a public safety officer at Delaware Valley University, he joined the Pennsylvania State Police in 2021 at Media Barracks, where he excelled in accident investigation and DUI enforcement. His outstanding work led to more than 50 DUI arrests in a year, earning him the prestigious TOP Gun Award.

Off duty, Matt enjoys golfing, spending time with his two cats and dog, and planning his
October 2026 wedding with his fiancée, Heather.
