10 Things You Can Do In PA's Green Phase
Get a haircut, have a party, go to the mall: Here are 10 things you'll be able to do starting June 26.
EASTERN PENNSYLVANIA — Southeastern Pennsylvania counties are slated to go into the green phase of coronavirus mitigation on June 26.
The region has been under strict mitigation measures since mid-March in an attempt to slow the spread of virus, which has so far infected more than 80,000 and killed more than 6,300 in Pennsylvania.
Suburban Philadelphia counties of Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery will move to the next phase on the 26th. Additionally, Berks, Erie, Lancaster, Lackawanna, Lehigh, Northampton, and Susquehanna will as well. Philadelphia will be deemed green, but the city government will keep some additional restrictions in place.

So once we go green, what does that mean?
Here are 10 things you can do in the green phase that have been restricted since the coronavirus shutdowns began in mid-March:

1. Dine inside: In the green phase, restaurants can reopen their interior dining areas at 50 percent capacity, with these restrictions in place.
2. Go to a bar: Bars can reopen in limited capacity, also with restrictions in place.
3. Get a haircut: Hair salons and barbershops are permitted to reopen in the green phase, but they must operate by appointment only.
4. Get your nails done: Personal care services can reopen at 50 percent occupancy.
5. Go to the gym: Gyms can reopen. Expect safety measures in place, like social distancing and increased cleaning.
6. Have more customers: Businesses, which were allowed to operate at 50 percent occupancy in the yellow phase. can increase to 75 percent occupancy.
7. Go to the mall: Shopping malls can reopen in limited capacity.
8. Have a party: Gatherings of up to 250 people are allowed in the green phase. But anything bigger than that is prohibited, including concerts, festivals, fairs, sporting events, and theater performances.
9. Play youth sports: Youth sporting leagues can resume in the green phase.
10. Visit someone in prison or at the hospital: Visitations to prisons and hospitals can resume in the green phase, under the discretion of the facility.
Mask wearing is required when entering any business in the green phase. The mask requirement is part of the Secretary of Health's worker safety order.
