Fast Casual Mediterranean Restaurant Opening In Newtown

NEWTOWN, PA — CAVA, a fast casual restaurant chain known for its Mediterranean-inspired bowls and pitas, is opening its doors on Friday after a hugely successful community preview on Thursday.
The eatery, located next to Crumbl Cookies at the Village at Newtown, is the chain's first in Bucks County and its 10th in Pennsylvania. Its other locations are in Collegeville, Newtown Square, Glen Mills, Lancaster, Montgomeryville, Plymouth Meeting, Rittenhouse, Ardmore, and Temple University.
CAVA is best known for its colorful Mediterranean-inspired bowls, pitas, dips, spreads and dressings. A sampling of its menu includes a spicy lamb and avocado bowl, steak and harissa bowl, Greek salad, grain bowls, pita sandwiches, pita chips, humus and desserts.

CAVA’s new Newtown restaurant will employ 25 to 40 local people. The company hires people for their hospitality and warmth and is dedicated to creating career pathways for its team members. CAVA offers competitive pay and benefits including paid time off, healthcare, early wage access, an Employee Assistance Program, and free mental health support.
The chain was launched in 2006 by first-generation Greek Americans in Maryland. In 2018, CAVA Group bought the Zoe’s Kitchen chain, becoming the largest Mediterranean restaurant operator in the US with more than 350 locations.
