In a letter to parents of Council Rock North students, Principal Susan McCarthy said the two students reported testing positive for the virus on Monday.

Students in the Council Rock School District must choose between virtual learning or the hybrid model, which is a mix of in-person classes and online instruction. About 26 percent of students have opted for virtual-only learning while 74 percent are enrolled in the hybrid model, Superintendent Robert Fraser said at a school board meeting last week in which a small majority of board members expressed support for five-day in-person learning.

The school board is scheduled to vote on whether to allow five-day in-person classes at its Oct. 22 meeting.
