2 New Officers Join Newtown Township Police Department

NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — Two new police officers have joined the force in Newtown Township.

Officer Christian Snowden and Officer Garrett Chirik were officially sworn-in by Newtown area District Judge Michael Petrucci on Oct. 17.

Ofc. Snowden graduated from Saint Joseph High School in 2015, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice in 2019, and completed the Pennsylvania Municipal Police Officers Training Program at the Temple University Police Academy in 2025.

Ofc. Chirik, 25, graduated from Central Bucks South High School in 2019 and completed the Pennsylvania Municipal Police Officers Training Program at the Allentown Police Academy in 2024. joining

Before joining Newtown Township, Ofc. Chirik worked as a police officer with the Bethlehem Township Police Department.
