3 Arrested In Lululemon Retail Theft In Newtown Township
In other reports, police make an arrest for DUI and investigate retail thefts at Lululemon and Ulta Beauty and several thefts from vehicles.
NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — The Newtown Township Police Department reported the following incidents and arrests between May 19 and 22:
May 19
- Police were dispatched to Lululemon on South Eagle Road around 6 p.m. for a retail theft that had just occurred. The store manager reported that two female subjects left the store with unpaid merchandise and left the area in a gold Chevy Malibu. As a result of the investigation, the vehicle was located and stopped in Lower Makefield. Stolen merchandise was recovered for Lululemon and Ulta Beauty, and three subjects were taken into custody and charged with retail theft.
May 20

- At approximately 12:30 p.m., police were dispatched to Lululemon on South Eagle Road for a retail theft that had just occurred. The store employee reported that a male subject left the store with unpaid merchandise and left the area in a black-colored vehicle. The investigation is ongoing.
- At approximately 4 p.m. police were contacted about a theft from a vehicle. The victim reported that their E-ZPass was taken from their parked car at the McCaffrey’s Market parking lot sometime between 2 and 2:30 pm.
- A Newtown Township resident contacted police around 9:15 p.m. to report a theft from a vehicle. The victim reported that someone rifled through his glove box and center console while the vehicle was parked at his residence around 5:30 am.
May 21
- A Newtown Township resident contacted police at approximately 12:45 p.m. to report a theft from a vehicle. The victim reported that the theft occurred between midnight and 2 a.m. while her car was parked and unlocked in her driveway.
May 22

- At approximately 1:30 p.m., police were dispatched to Ulta Beauty on South Eagle Road for two retail thefts that occurred the day prior. The investigations are ongoing at this time.
- At approximately 11 p.m. police conducted a traffic stop on the driver of a Ford pickup truck in the area of 7-11 on Sycamore Street. As a result of the investigation, suspected narcotics and drug paraphernalia were discovered and seized as evidence. Charges are pending.
