All Newtown Township Playgrounds Are Open

All Newtown Township playgrounds are reopened. The popular Kids Castle in Doylestown will remain closed through the yellow phase, however.

NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — All Newtown Township playgrounds have reopened, officials confirmed Wednesday. The playgrounds had been closed in mid-March due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Most municipal playgrounds in Bucks County have reopened or will reopen Friday. In Doylestown Township, the popular Kids Castle will remain closed, however.

Doylestown Township Manager Stephanie Mason said Kids Castle must remain closed because it holds more than 25 people at one time, which is beyond the capacity permitted during the yellow phase of coronavirus mitigation.
