LEVITTOWN, PA — California Congressman Ro Khanna (D-17) will be returning to his Bucks County roots on Sunday to lead a "Benefits Over Billionaires" town hall event at Heritage Hall in Levittown.

Organized by Indivisible Bucks County, the Council Rock graduate will be discussing the projected impacts of President Trump's "One Big Beautiful Bill," which is now being debated on Capitol Hill. He will also be taking questions from the audience at the 5:30 p.m. event.

"Thank you to Bucks County Indivisible for inviting me to their town hall in Levittown this weekend," said Rep. Khanna of California’s 17th District, located in the heart of the Silicon Valley. "I am proud to have grown up in Bucks County and I look forward to engaging with the community and answering people's questions about how Democrats can stand up to the administration’s attacks and Republican funding cuts."

“I’m proud to stand with Congressman Ro Khanna and the Bucks County community at this important town hall," added State Senator Sharif Street, Chairman of the Pennsylvania Democratic Party. “At a time when working families face rising costs and critical programs are on the chopping block, we need bold leadership that puts people over profits. Public forums like this are essential to our democracy — they ensure that the voices of everyday Pennsylvanians are heard loud and clear.”

“Town halls are a bedrock of democratic government,” said Laura Rose of Indivisible Bucks County. “Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick has failed to hold a town hall since August of 2017, and that is a serious failure to fulfill the requirements of his job. The people of Pennsylvania’s First Congressional District deserve better. We are delighted that Congressman Ro Khanna, who grew up in our community, has agreed to fill the void that Rep. Fitzpatrick has left open all these years and take questions from our neighbors.”
