Child On Hersheypark Monorail Tracks Rescued By Bucks County Man: Reports
The man, a Richboro veterinarian, said his instincts as a father led him to take risky moves to rescue the boy, the reports said.

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — A veterinarian from Bucks County says his "dad instincts" kicked in when he rescued a boy who was walking on the tracks of the monorail at Hersheypark on Saturday, according to reports.
John Sampson, a veterinarian in Richboro, was identified as the rescuer by his wife on social media, the Inquirer reported.
Video of the boy seen on social media on Saturday showed the child walking on the tracks of the monorail, which was closed at the time, according to CBS 21 of Harrisburg.

Sampson told Fox 43 his "dad instincts kicked in, and then [I was] just trying to figure things out and how to get up there as fast as possible."
Video shared by ABC News showed him climbing onto the roof of a stand and getting on the tracks, then coaxing the boy to him and getting him down safely.

"[I felt] relief, absolute relief, and even I could feel it in him — the relief as soon as he got into my arms," Sampson told Fox 43.
Park officials have said the boy managed to get into a secured area around the monorail after he became separated from family around 5 p.m. Saturday.
