Council Rock To Discuss Coronavirus Budget Cuts Wednesday

NEWTOWN, PA — The Council Rock School District will discuss potential budget cuts due to the current COVID-19 financial climate during a virtual meeting Wednesday.

The Virtual Budget Forum will be held at 7 p.m.School administrators will present the board with a list of services and programs that could be impacted in the current COVID-19 financial climate.

"Community members are urged to mark their calendars and make themselves available for this important virtual meeting that will include discussion of budget reductions resulting from the Coronavirus pandemic," the district said in a meeting announcement.

All public comments and questions must be emailed in advance to budget@crsd.org.

Measures already taken to soften the blow to the budget include salary concessions among teachers and administrators.
