The Council Rock School District will be holding a virtual forum Thursday to discuss its Health and Safety Plan for reopening schools.
NEWTOWN, PA — The Council Rock School District will hold a virtual forum Thursday evening to discuss its Health and Safety Plan for reopening schools in the fall.
The forum will begin at 7 p.m. A Webinar meeting link will will be available on the district's website the day of the forum.
Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf has released guidance for schools to reopen during the pandemic. Part of that guidance mandates that schools have a safety plan in place that must be approved by the school board.

The district, in a letter to the school community late last month, said it is simultaneously planning for an in-person opening as well as a cyber option.

The county is recommending a minimum distance of three feet spacing is recommended for classroom seating, and seats should be configured to maximize on social distancing, the county recommends.
