Council Rock North made the magazine's "40 Best Public High Schools in Philadelphia and the Suburbs" list. The school, located in Newtown Township, is one of just three in Bucks County to make the list.

The ranking was created after analysis of public data from Pennsylvania and New Jersey departments of education, and the National Center for Education Statistics, according to the magazine. Factors taken into account when preparing the list include graduation rates, student to teacher ratio, and SAT scores.

"These schools make up the top fifth of our separate rankings of Philadelphia district and charter schools (81 total) and suburban public schools in the Greater Philadelphia region (127 total)," the magazine said.
