Council Rock North Takes 3rd, Wins $1,000 In Choir Competition

The competitive choral ensemble Northvoice took third place in the Christmas contest on B101.1 with its rendition of "Joy to the World."

NEWTOWN, PA — Council Rock North took third place in the Christmas Choir Competition hosted by B101.1, Philly's Official Christmas station, the station announced Friday morning.

The school sang "Joy to the World," which got them through the semifinals and the finals. With the third place prize comes $1,000 to the school's choir program.

Northvoice, who performed "Joy to the World" is the school's highly-competitive choral ensemble, performing a repertoire that includes jazz as well as classical and contemporary choral literature. The group also performs at many school and community events.

Neshaminy High School came in first place with its rendition of "What Christmas Means To Me."
