Council Rock School Board Race: See 2025 Results

Voters sent in ballots and went to the polls on Tuesday to elect four members to the Council Rock School Board.

NEWTOWN, PA — Democrats picked up a seat on the Council Rock School Board on Tuesday, according to unofficial results posted by the Bucks County Board of Elections.

According to the numbers, Democrat Jim Green defeated incumbent Republican Bob Hickey in Region 3, which includes part of Northampton Township. Hickey is one of three Republican voices on the nine member board.

Another incumbent Republican, Michael Roosevelt, won his bid for re-election in Region 6 turning back a challenge from Democrat Audrey Tashjian.

In Region 9, incumbent Nicole Khan won re-election over Republican challenger Mitchell Smedley. And in Region 8, Democrat Cheryl Rickert defeated Republican challenger Hedy Ranieri

As of 1 a.m., here is where the race stood with 99.3 percent of the county's precincts reporting:

Region 6 (4 Year Seat)

  • Audrey Tashjian (D) — 1595
  • Michael Roosevelt (R-Incumbent) — 2073

Region 8 (4-Year-Seat)

Vote For One

  • Cheryl Rickert (D) —2520
  • Hedy Ranieri (R) — 1991

Region 9 (4-Year-Seat)

Vote For One

  • Nicole Khan (D-Incumbent) — 1897
  • Mitchell Smedley (R) — 1479
