Driver Charged With Fleeing Police, Reckless Driving: Newtown Twp. Crime Report
Police were also called to a retail store at the Village at Newtown for the report of a retail theft.
NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — The Newtown Township Police Department reported the following incidents between Sept. 25 and October 2:
September 26
- At approximately 9:40 a.m., officers from Lower Makefield and Newtown Township stopped a vehicle for numerous traffic violations. This led to a large police presence along the Newtown Bypass and Sycamore Street. The subject was ultimately taken into custody and charged with fleeing or attempting to elude officers, recklessly endangering another person, leaving the scene of an accident, reckless driving, and careless driving.

- Police were dispatched to Ulta Beauty around 3 p.m. for the report of a retail theft that occurred earlier in the week. The total value of loss was $687.
