Eclectic Week Of Music, Movies And More At The Newtown Theatre
The lineup includes Halloween movies, 'The Wizard of Oz,' and concerts featuring One Hit Wonderers and 'Legends of the Persuasions."

NEWTOWN, PA — The historic Newtown Theatre will present the following events this week:
- “Halloween (1978)” on Tuesday, October 28 at 7:30 p.m. Directed by John Carpenter and featuring the film debut of Jamie Lee Curtis, “Halloween” tells the tale of Michael Myers as he stalks teenage babysitter Laurie Strode and her friends.
- “Dracula (1931) with VAMPA Vampire & Paranormal Museum” on Wednesday, October 29 at 7:30 p.m. Prior to this Bela Lugosi classic, items from Doylestown’s VAMPA Vampire & Paranormal Museum will be on display in the theatre, including 19th-century vampire-killing tools and more.
- “I Love That Song! With the One Hit Wonderers” on Thursday, October 30 at 8 p.m. Back by popular demand, the One Hit Wonderers are like a human jukebox on shuffle, playing “one-hit wonders” from the 60s, 70s and 80s.
- "A Cappella Legends The Persuasions” on Saturday, Nov. 1 at 2 p.m. The Persuasions bring their soulful five-part harmonies to Newtown. Blending gospel, soul, early rock and jazz, The Persuasions have performed with icons from Frank Zappa to U2.
- “The Wizard of Oz (1939)” on Saturday, Nov. 1 at 8 p.m. Back on the big screen where it was meant to be seen.
- “Messages from Your Loved Ones with Spiritual Medium Daniella Schwartz” on Sunday, Nov. 2 at 3 p.m. Schwartz has trained with world-renowned mediums and psychics to refine her gifts and has used the skills that she was taught to create her own unique process for connecting with spirits.
Tickets for all events are available at TheNewtownTheatre.com . Beer, wine, and canned cocktails will be available for purchase at the theatre before and during the shows. The theatre is located at 120 N. State Street in Newtown Borough.
