Goats Featured On Day 2 Of The Middletown Grange Fair
The fair continues on Thursday, August 14 with plenty of Bucks County agricultural fun.

WRIGHTSTOWN, PA — The goats will have their day on Thursday, August 14 at the Middletown Grange Fair in Wrightstown.
This year's goat show opens the fair at 10 a.m. in the show arena. The public is invited to watch as a 4-H judge rates this year's herd.
Thursday also features the 4-H Dairy Judging Contest at 4 p.m., the Stockmans Contest at 4:30 p.m., the 4-H Awards Ceremony at 6 p.m., and the 4-H Horse Bowl at 7:30 p.m., all taking place in the show arena.

Throughout the day, there will be mule demonstrations and opportunities to Meet the Belgians; horse-drawn wagon rides (fee); mule demonstrations; tractor pulls; the Tractor Parade of Power at 6 p.m.; and plenty of opportunities to watch the hugely popular Aim High Canine Show and the
Fearless Flores Thrill Show.

The chickens have come home to roost at this year's fair. For the first time in three years, chickens, ducks and roosters are back at the fair clucking, scratching and pecking away. The threat of avian flu has kept the birds away from the fair for the past three years. (Jeff Werner/Patch)

Don't miss the large buildings brimming with community and 4-H exhibits, including tables filled with freshly-grown vegetables and fruit. See who won this year's blue ribbons and Grange Fair bragging rights.
And take some time out on Thursday to enjoy the Grange Fair's popular chicken dinner. It will be
served from 3 to 8 p.m. in the fair's dining hall.

- Fair Hours on Thursday, August 14: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- Location: 576 Penns Park Road, Wrightstown 18940.
- Admission: No admission to the fair. There is a $20 per car parking fee. Proceeds from the parking fee benefit the all-volunteer Lingohocken Fire Company and the Bucks County Fraternal Order of Police.
Weather Forecast: Variable cloudiness with a thunderstorm; humid; any downpour can bring localized damaging wind gusts. A high of 90 degrees.
Amusement Rides: Rides open on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday at 4 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday at 12 p.m.
Rules: Dogs will not be allowed unless it is a service dog. This is for the safety of the public, the exhibitors, and the livestock at the fair. No alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs are permitted on Grange property. No vulgar language or behavior is permitted on Grange property. And all children must be supervised by an adult.
