'He Was Family': Bucks Co. Pediatrician Dies Of Coronavirus

Dr. Victor Rivera, who worked for Margiotti & Kroll Pediatrics, died April 4. Former colleagues and patients are mourning his loss.

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — An admired and beloved local pediatrician died over the weekend of coronavirus. Margiotti & Kroll Pediatrics announced that Victor Rivera, a former doctor at the practice, died on April 4.

The Bucks County Courier Times reported his death was from COVID-19 complications.

"Dr. Rivera touched the lives of so many children over his more than 40 years of practice. Our physicians, providers, and staff all had the privilege of working with Dr. Rivera during his last four years of practice until his retirement in 2017. We extend our deepest condolences to Dr. Rivera's wife, Mila, and his entire family on the loss of a truly great man," Margiotti & Kroll wrote in a Facebook tribute.

"He was truly inspirational," wrote Gerard Margiotti, a founding member of the practice that operates multiple offices throughout the county, including in Newtown, Warrington, Trevose and beyond.

More than 50 people commented on the post, sharing fond memories of Rivera, who had since retired.

"All four of my children had him as their pediatrician for 17 years. He was a wonderful man who always had a smile and I’m sure he will be deeply missed," one commenter shared.

Another said: "He was family to us, and always engaged us all in a full blown conversation every time we went to see him in the clinic. He was genuinely concerned about my whole family."

Rivera is one of 24 people in Bucks County and 240 in Pennsylvania who have died from the coronavirus. Across the nation, nearly 13,000 people have died from the virus.
