NEWTOWN BOROUGH, PA — The Newtown Historic Association will honor the town's military veterans during a special one-day-only show on Memorial Day, Monday, May 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the NHA’s Callahan Research Center located at 100 Mercer Street, Newtown 18940.

The exhibit - "Tribute to Local Veterans" - includes more than 200 pictures of local soldiers who fought in World War II, Korea, and the Vietnam wars. The collection was created by Mike Donovan, a past NHA member and history buff.

Also on display will be letters written by soldiers containing their private thoughts and moments as they experienced war. The letters offer a unique glimpse into war through the eyes of 12 Newtown natives and soldiers, not of of them coming home.
