Other free programs include Washington's Birthday, Memorial Day Concert and Ceremony, annual 4th of July Field Day and Car Show and the First Crossing Event. The park also offers several free lectures throughout the year. The Friends also fundraiser to support park enhancements such as the refurbishment of the Thompson Neely Grist Mill and expansion of the Hibbs Garden and Farmstead.

Why do you believe the local hero should be recognized or honored?

Jennifer is very passionate about the park, teaching students and providing high quality educational programs to share with our community
