What does the local hero do?

Beryl has run the non-profit S.A.G.E. (Senior Adults For Greater Education) for the past 22 years.

Why do you believe the local hero should be recognized or honored?

Beryl, who is the executive director and founder of S.A.G.E., arranges for seniors to volunteer in their local schools. It is a win-win-win situation. Seniors become part of the community, kids enjoy the wisdom of senior adults and the school and teachers get free help to assist in the classroom, library, etc.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the local hero?
