Man Found Guilty In State Street Dispute Over George Floyd Flyers
A Newtown man has been found guilty of harassment and criminal mischief in connection with an incident that occurred outside of Starbucks.

NEWTOWN, PA — A Newtown man has been found guilty of harassment and criminal mischief in connection with an incident that occurred in June outside of the Starbucks on State Street.
Vincent Lewis, 63, was charged after Newtown Borough police said he "made contact" with a woman who was putting up flyers related to the death of George Floyd. He was fined $100 per offense, District Judge Michael Petrucci confirmed.
Lewis, who officials confirmed damaged the woman's phone during the encounter, was also ordered by Judge Petrucci to pay $279 to repair the device.

The man, later identified as Lewis, began yelling at them. He then slapped her phone from her hands and a verbal altercation ensued, according to the video and information from police.
At the time of the incident, Lewis was a driver for First Student, which serves the Council Rock School District. The district's transportation department has since notified First Student that he can no longer serve as a driver for Council Rock.
