New Bucks Co. Podcast, 'Bucks County Conversations,' Has Launched
In the first episode, Project and Diversity Officer Bernard Griggs talks about getting the workforce to reflect our diverse community.

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Bucks County is debuting an exciting new platform to keep the community informed and engaged: a podcast.
Charlotte Reese launched "Bucks County Conversations" on Thursday, with a first episode interviewing county Project and Diversity Officer Bernard Griggs. This episode focused around Bucks County’s mission of diversity and inclusion, as well as one project that’s helping a non-profit serve the Lower Bucks community.
Listeners will learn about Griggs' background as a leader of the bricklayer's union in Philadelphia and a business representative for the Philadelphia Building Trades Council. His role in Bucks County is fairly new, but he's already taken on some important projects.

“When I tie in my experience coming from the union and coming here, it all comes down to working for the people,” he said.
Reese and Griggs took some time to discuss favorite county projects recently, including the "Love is the Answer" mural in Morrisville.

"Everybody was grabbing paint brushes that day," Reese recalled. "Not that ribbon cuttings aren't fun, but that was a different kind of day out."
Later in the podcast, Griggs discussed the recently-planned and -constructed Martha Miller No Longer Bound Education Center, and No Longer Bound’s Executive Director Pastor James Evans and Prevention Manager Damita Harvey joined the episode to talk about plans for the center and Martha Miller's community impacts.
“We are excited about this new building and what’s going to happen,” Harvey said.
Going forward, "Bucks County Conversations" will continue to capture real conversations happening within Bucks County's government. Each episode will feature topical, important discussions about the county — including key points of the Bucks County Commissioners’ meeting, and discussion of new projects, initiatives and upcoming events.
"Bucks County Conversations" is available on Apple Podcasts and Spotify, and on the county website.
