New Buildings Rise At Shopping Center: Here's What's Coming In
If you've been into the Village at Newtown lately, you can't miss it: New buildings are rising. Here's what's going in them:
NEWTOWN, PA — If you've been into the Village at Newtown Shopping Center lately, you can't miss it: new buildings are rising and will contain many new businesses.
The new buildings will contain a variety of restaurants, shops, and a even a medical spa.
The construction is part of a $35 million expansion and renovation at the shopping center. Property owner Brixmor is erecting new buildings across from McCaffrey's, and another 6,000-square-foot building is under construction near Barre 3.

MOD Pizza is a Seattle-based, fast-casual chain that serves artisan-style pizzas and salads. The chain boasts its pizzas are "individually sized, made on demand, and ready in just minutes."
Ohio-based Bomba Tacos & Rum is a premium casual taco restaurant created by Paladar Restaurant Group. It currently operates three locations in Ohio. Two are planned in Pennsylvania: In addition to the Newtown restaurant, a Malvern location is forthcoming.
Iron Hill operates brewpubs that serve craft beers and food at more than a dozen locations across the region. Nearby brewpubs are situated in North Wales, Phoenixville, Ardmore, Huntington Valley, Philadelphia, and more.
Solstice — a sub-franchise of Shula's Steakhouse — plans to open a 6,700-square-foot restaurant. Shula's operates numerous restaurants across the country, including in Florida, Ohio, Arizona and beyond.
The fast-casual Mexican eatery serving up bowls, burritos, tacos, and more will open a 2,500-square-foot restaurant.
Playa Bowls, a smoothie bowl shop inspired by eateries found in surf towns, originated at the Jersey Shore five years ago. It has since grown to more than 60 locations nationwide. The chain currently operates one other Bucks County location in Doylestown.
La Chele offers various hair, brow, skin and body treatments. Treatments offered include Botox, lip rejuvenation, laser hair removal, "coolsculpting" fat reduction, and more. The medical spa currently operates a location at the Union Square Complex in New Hope.
