If A Traffic Signal Is Out, Bucks Co. Police Say Here's What You Should Do
Motorists may encounter malfunctioning signals on Tuesday due to high winds and local power outages.
DOYLESTOWN, PA — Police in Bucks County are reminding motorists of the protocol to follow in the event they encounter malfunctioning traffic signals on Tuesday as a result of high winds and local power outages.
"Drivers may encounter traffic signals that are either completely dark or flashing. It's essential to exercise caution when approaching these intersections," police said.
If the signal is out, police said treat the intersection like a four-way stop sign, coming to a complete stop in all directions before proceeding with caution. Similarly, flashing red signals should be treated as stop signs.
