Newtown Borough Elects New Mayor, 3 Councilors: See 2025 Results
Newtown Borough residents went to the polls on Tuesday to elect a new mayor and three members of the borough council.

NEWTOWN BOROUGH, PA — Newtown Borough voters elected a new mayor on Tuesday and returned three incumbent Democrats to the borough council.
With the borough's two wards reporting, Democrat and former borough councilor Tara Grunde-McLaughlin appears to have won the race for mayor over her from her opponent, former councilor Nicole Rodowicz , who was running as an Independent on the Republican ballot.
In the town's first ward, voters are sending incumbent Democratic councilors Emily Heinz and Kris Bauman back to the borough council table for another term. They were challenged by Republican Courtney Lang, a member of the borough's planning commission, who came up short in her bid for a council seat.

In the borough's second ward, council-appointee Gina Tognini won her bid for a four-year seat on council. She was challenged by Republican Bernie Sauer.
