CR Newtown Little League Faces Southwest Team In World Series

WILLIAMSPORT, PA — The Council Rock Newtown 12U Little League team will take to the field tonight at the Little League World Series as the Mid-Atlantic Champions face the winner of the Southwest Region - the Boerne, Texas, Little League team.

The Newtown boys, coached by Brad Hamilton, Doug Peiffer, and Ryan Neeld, will enter the series with an impressive 18-0 record after clinching the district, state and regional titles. They will be representing Pennsylvania and the Mid-Atlantic region in the series.

The team includes players from Sol Feinstone, Goodnoe, Newtown, and St. Andrew’s elementary schools.

Game Time

The Thursday, August 15 game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. in Williamsport and will be broadcast live on ESPN.

Local Watch Parties are being planned at the Green Parrot on Sycamore Street, Iron Hill Brewery at the Village at Newtown, the Escape Resort, Restaurant and Bar at the NAC and Tranquility Brewing in Warminster.
