Newtown Republican, 35-Year Resident Running For PA 31st District House Seat
Bernie Sauer is seeking the Republican nomination to represent Pennsylvania's 31st district, a seat currently held by Democrat Perry Warren.

NEWTOWN, PA — Bernie Sauer, a building and construction businessman and lifelong Bucks County resident, has announced his bid for the Republican endorsement for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives' 31st district seat.
In announcing his candidacy, Sauer characterized the politics of the past two years as "go along to get along" and said this approach is the "wrong thing for our families" regardless of political party.
He plans to focus on sparking job growth through economic revitalization; improving the state’s education system through "accountability, investment and choice"; providing strong fiscal discipline to protect taxpayer dollars; promoting public safety by providing strong support for law enforcement; and ensuring trust in the election process for all citizens.

"We need leaders willing to always be a strong voice for the people to ensure that decisions being made in government are helping working families, seniors, and children," he said. "That has been missing too often lately, and it is what I will bring back to Harrisburg."
According to a news release from his campaign, Sauer's candidacy hinges on a combination of business experience and volunteering in the community. He touts his connection to residents and local governments as well as his experience in management, project oversight and finance.
