Newtown Theatre Showing Classic Halloween Films

For the first time since March, the Newtown Theatre will open for Halloween weekend with limited capacity.

NEWTOWN, PA — The Newtown Theatre will open for Halloween weekend, screening several Halloween classics in what will be its first opening since the coronavirus pandemic.

The following movies will be screening at the Newtown Theatre:

  • Thursday, Oct. 29, 7:30 p.m.: Night of the Living Dead
  • Friday, Oct. 30, 7:30 p.m.: Ghostbusters
  • Saturday, Oct. 31, 1 p.m.: Hotel Transylvania
  • Saturday, Oct. 31, 8 p.m.: Hocus Pocus

Tickets will be sold only at the door starting an hour before showtimes. Cost is $12 for adults, $10 for seniors 65 and older, $8 for children 12 and younger and $6 for theatre members.

Capacity at each screening is limited to 55 people. Masks must be worn while standing and moving around the theatre and can be removed while watching the movie. Concessions will be available.

Seating is first come, first served, and every other row will be blocked off to facilitate social distancing.
