Newtown Township Supervisors Election: See 2025 Results

Voters sent in ballots and went to the polls on Tuesday to elect two new members to the Newtown Township Board of Supervisors.

NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — Democrats will be keeping majority control of the township's five-member board of supervisors.

With all township precincts reporting, Democrats Melissa Merk and Edward Merriman held a comfortable lead over Republicans Valerie Mihalek and Todd McGonigal in the race for two open, six-year seats on the board.

The winners will replace Democrats John Mack and Dennis Fisher, who are leaving the board when their terms expire at the end of the year.

As of 1 a.m., here is where the race stood with 99.3 percent of the county's precincts reporting:

Results in Tuesday's general election by the Bucks County Board of Elections are unofficial until they are certified at a later date.
