Newtown Twp. Police Seek Info On Suspect In PA, NJ Bank Frauds

Police recently released photos of a woman wearing a wig while using a stolen driver's license and bank information to commit fraud.

NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — Newtown Township police are asking for help to identify a woman suspected of using a resident’s stolen driver’s license to commit fraud at several banks in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

The Newtown Township Police Department recently released surveillance photos of the woman, who they say was wearing a blond wig to look more like the resident whose identity she was using.

The resident’s license was stolen March 23 from a vehicle at Veterans Park and used in July at several TD Bank locations in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, police said, calling it a “Felony Lane Gang” style fraud.
