Newtown Welcome Day Canceled For 2020

NEWTOWN, PA — Newtown Welcome Day, previously postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic, has been completely canceled for 2020.

Newtown Business Association, which organizes the annual fair on Sycamore Street, said the decision was made "out of an abundance of caution for public health and to help mitigate any potential for the spread of COVID-19."

The organization said it will continue to monitor information from local and federal officials regarding the COVID-19 virus as they consider the status of other events planned for the rest of the year.
