Newtown Welcome Day 2025: What You Need To Know

NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — Sycamore Street will bustle with the sights and sounds of Newtown Welcome Day on Sunday, June 8 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Presented by Capital Health and organized by the Newtown Business Association, the day will unfold between Jefferson Street and Durham Road featuring live entertainment, lots of food, vendors spotlighting local businesses and artisans, and plenty of family fun.

  • Where: Sycamore Street between Jefferson Street and Durham Road

  • Highlights: More than 150 vendors, live entertainment, food, and fun.

  • Reason: To promote businesses and services available in the 18940 zip code
  • Where to Eat: In addition to 10 food trucks, there are plenty of places to eat on Sycamore Street including Meglio, Newtown Pizza, Greenstraw, Guru's, Green Parrot, La Stalla Market, Lovebird, and Jules Thin Crust Pizza.
  • Explore Newtown: While you're in town, take a walk over to historic State Street in Newtown Borough for more shopping and food options.
  • Road Closures: N. Sycamore Street from Durham Road to Jefferson Street and Silo Drive at N. Sycamore Street will be closed to vehicle traffic from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. in order to provide time for set-up and clean-up of the event.

“Newtown Welcome Day is a perfect way to support your local businesses. It’s also a great way to
discover and rediscover what Newtown has to offer,” said event organizers. “It’s a great time to meet your neighbors, have a nice walk through town, patronize the vendors, and check out the many businesses and restaurants we have on the street.”

The 'Street Fair with Flair' promises a delightful experience for all ages, with a variety of activities organized by the members of the NBA. Attendees can look forward to a vibrant array of artists, crafters, and vendors, offering unique goods and handmade crafts. The street will be lined with tasty treats from local eateries, perfect for satisfying all culinary cravings.

At the heart of the "street fair with flair" will be more than 150 vendors who will be setting up shop along Sycamore featuring local artisans, organizations, and Newtown area businesses.

Throughout the day, visitors will also find lots of fun things to do including children's activities, a banquet of food from local eateries and 10 food trucks, and nonstop live music and entertainment.

Some of the featured performers include Krunga (jam band), Pinky's Revenge (alternative/grunge), Turning Tides (punk and hard rock), Shamrock Shenanigans (Irish music), and Wicked Scoundrel (classic rock).

"Newtown Welcome Day is the perfect opportunity to come together as a community, celebrate our vibrant town, and create lasting memories," said organizers.

Running in conjunction with Welcome Day will be open house tours at the Historic Presbyterian Church on Sycamore Street. Visitors are also invited to explore a Revolutionary War encampment and musket firing demonstrations on the grounds of the church.

The mission of the NBA is to promote Newtown as a great place to live, work, shop, and do business. Any business that is located in Newtown or conducts business in Newtown on a regular basis is eligible to become a member of the NBA. For more information, CLICK HERE.
