NEWTOWN, PA -— Mark your calendar. The Newtown Rotary Club will again be serving a benefit pancake and waffle breakfast on Sunday, Nov. 16.
The event takes place from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at American Legion Post 440 at 41 Linden Avenue. The cost is $12 per person, $5 for children, and $30 for families
Mark Craig, who is again organizing the breakfast, said the club has again retained the talents of legendary Newtown Chef Joe Garvey, who will be whipping up another memorable mouthwatering breakfast of hot off the griddle pancakes and waffles.

“It’s for a good cause,” said Rotarian Paul Salvatore. “This is being done for the American Legion and the Memorial Day Parade, which is held to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice. The least we can do is honor that sacrifice by supporting the parade and we can do that by eating some pancakes.”
Proceeds raised above the donation to the veterans will help support other Newtown nonprofit organizations, said Craig.
