PECO Extends Daytime Closure Of South State Street In Newtown
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced the extended closure in a press release sent out on Wednesday.

NEWTOWN BOROUGH, PA — PECO has extended its daytime closure of South State Street through Friday, Jan. 30, for its gas main installation project.
Work began on the project in late July and was originally scheduled to be completed by Oct. 31.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced the extended closure in a press release sent out on Wednesday.

The road will continue to be closed weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. from Centre Avenue to Fountain Farm Road. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Route 332 (Newtown Bypass) and Sycamore Street.
Local access will be maintained up to the work area. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather-dependent.
