Peddler's Village Is Going Green With Irish-Themed Food And Events

In March, village restaurants will feature Irish-themed food and drink specials in addition to special events from March 14 to 17.

LAHASKA, PA — Peddler’s Village will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day throughout March with Irish-themed food and drink specials at its restaurants. And during the "Celebrate the Green" long weekend — March 14 to 17 — visitors can enjoy a comedy competition, a free outdoor “Find the Pots ‘O Gold” scavenger hunt, a pub crawl, a “Taste of Ireland” Sunday brunch, and a “Shake Your Shamrock Fun Run.”

(tickets required). Guests who arrive before the show can purchase Irish-themed food and enjoy live music.

From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 15, and Sunday, March 16, families can engage in the
free Find the Pots ‘O Gold scavenger hunt that will reward participating children with novelty prizes and adults with the chance to enter into a drawing for a $100 dining and lodging gift card.

Throughout the month of March Irish-themed food and drink specials will be available at Peddler’s Village restaurants.

On Saturday, March 15 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., adults can stroll through the village and enjoy live music and plenty of pay-as-you-go libations and food, including Irish-themed favorites during the Village Pub Crawl. No tickets or admission fee are required for the pub crawl, and those who register for free in advance are eligible to win a $50 dining and lodging gift card and Village Pub Crawl T-shirt.

On Sunday, March 16, guests are invited to A Taste of Ireland Brunch at the Cock ‘n Bull (reservations ecouraged). The menu will feature a full Irish breakfast, made-to-order boxty, housemade scones, coddle stew, and more. Also on Sunday morning is the Shake Your Shamrock Fun Run presented by Scoogie Events.

Musicians will be performing throughout the weekend, both outside and indoors at village restaurants, and Irish-themed specialties will be offered Saturday and Sunday at Peddler’s Pub. On Monday, March 17, from 12 to 2 p.m., author Juilene Osborne-McKnight will be visiting The Celtic Rose to sign her latest books, "Storyteller: Irish Myths, Legends and Folktales for Americans" and "The Story We Carry in Our Bones: Irish History for Americans."

For those unable to attend the Celebrate the Green weekend, all through March Irish-themed food and drink specials will be available at Peddler’s Village restaurants. The Celtic Rose is also the presenting sponsor of Celebrate the Green.
