Pennsylvania Coronavirus Cases Top 113K

The Pennsylvania Department of Health reported 654 additional positive cases of COVID-19 Sunday.

HARRISBURG, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Health reported 654 additional positive cases of COVID-19 Sunday, bringing the statewide total to 113,590. Of the total cases, 76 percent of patients have recovered, according to the state.

Allegheny County reported an increase of 82 cases and Philadelphia County reported an increase of 75 cases.

Also Sunday, five new deaths were reported, bringing the statewide death toll to 7,209.

On Saturday, the state reported 888 new positive cases.

Of the patients who have tested positive to date the age breakdown is as follows:

  • 1% are ages 0-4;
  • 1% are ages 5-12;
  • 3% are ages 13-18;
  • 9% are ages 19-24;
  • 37% are ages 25-49;
  • Nearly 23% are ages 50-64; and
  • 24% are ages 65 or older.

To date, more than 154,000 people in the United States have died of COVID-19, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University.
