Portion Of Swamp Road In Newtown To Close For 2 Weeks

NEWTOWN, PA — A portion of Swamp Road in Newtown Township will close for two weeks later this month for a pipe repair project.

Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line Company is planning to close Swamp Road between Sawmill Lane and Liberty Drive from August 10 - 24. The closure will be in place 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

During the closure, Swamp Road motorists will be directed to use Worthington Mill Road, Route 413 and the Newtown Bypass.

Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur.
