Road Closures Announced In Advance Of Haunted Hustle 5K In Newtown

NEWTOWN BOROUGH, PA — The Newtown Borough Police Department has announced temporary road closures for Saturday's Haunted Hustle 5K.

The event, which is benefiting the NR2F1 Foundation, steps off at 9 a.m. from the Council Rock Administration Building (Chancellor Center) at 30 North Chancellor Street, Newtown. For additional information, click here.

Temporary road closures will start at 7 a.m. on Saturday, October 18. Anyone who lives on the 5K route should consider alternate routes and allow extra time for traveling. The roads will reopen following the event.

5K Route Road Closures

• 7 a.m. North Chancellor between Washington and Jefferson will close for event setup in front of the Chancellor Center.
• 8:30 a.m. Greene Street (North State Street to North Congress Street)
• 8:30 a.m. Edgeboro Drive (North State Street – Linton Hill Road)
• 8:30 a.m. Frost Lane (Edgeboro Drive – North Lincoln Avenue)
• 8:30 a.m. Jefferson Street (North Sycamore Street – North Lincoln Avenue)
• 8:30 a.m. Liberty Street (Washington Avenue – Jefferson Street)
• 8:30 a.m. North Congress Street (Washington Avenue – Frost Lane)
• 8:30 a.m. North Chancellor Street (Washington Avenue – Frost Lane)
• 8:30 a.m. Federal Lane, Jefferson Street at North Sycamore Street (Newtown Township)
• 8:30 a.m. Parking Restrictions: No parking in front of 30 North Chancellor Street on both sides go into effect at 6 a.m. for event setup. Additional information: Any person attending the event follow your Haunted Hustle 5K information packet.
