Route 32 To Close Near Scudder Falls Toll Bridge Next Week

The road will be detour on Tuesday and Wednesday for crane disassembly, loading, and removal work.

LOWER MAKEFIELD, PA — The segment of River Road near the Scudder Falls Toll Bridge will be closed between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday.

That area of PA Route 32 will be closed for crane disassembly, loading, and removal work. Commuters who use the segment near the bridge and the intersection with Woodside Road should plan ahead and allow additional time to reach their destinations, the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission said.

The closure will not affect traffic on I-295 or the Scudder Falls Toll Bridge.

Posted detours will be implemented, directing drivers around the closed section. Detours will be via nearby Main Street and Taylorsville Road, starting at East Afton Avenue and Delaware Avenue, as well as Route 32 in Yardley to the south and Woodside Road in Lower Makefield to the north.

The aforementioned scheduled travel restrictions are subject to change due to weather, emergencies, traffic, and materials mobilization. Drivers are urged to allow extra time to reach their destinations, reduce speeds, and exercise caution when travelling through project work areas.
