School Board To Vote On Renovations: This Week In Newtown

NEWTOWN, PA — The Council Rock School Board will hold a special meeting Monday to vote on whether or not to approve a three-year renovation project at the aging Sol Feinstone Elementary School building.

A virtual meeting of the school board and education committee will be held at 7 p.m. Click here for the Zoom link. Public comments including the sender's full name and municipality submitted to publiccomment@crsd.org will be read aloud at the meeting.

The scheduled vote comes after board members held a lengthy discussion on the issue at its Thursday meeting.

Here's what else is happening this week:

Monday

• The Wrightstown Township Board of Supervisors will hold a virtual work session at 5 p.m. Items on the agenda include discussion of a land development plan for the Wood Property as well as a traffic study update for Township Line Road. Wednesday

• The Buckingham Township Board of Supervisors will hold an in-person work session at 6 p.m. at the Buckingham Township municipal building, 4613 Hughesian Dr, Buckingham. Supervisors will discuss an alternate sketch plan for the McKee Development, which proposes 12 single family homes, 18 townhomes, and 12 twin homes on Route 413 at Creek and Lower Mountain Roads. Saturday

• The Wrightstown Farmers Market 16th season opens Saturday, returning to the Middletown Grange, located at 576 Penns Park Rd, Newtown. Mask wearing and social distancing guidelines will remain in effect.
